Jane Driessen, owner of RNs To Go, a geriatric care manager, and a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of nursing experience in a wide range of specialties in hospitals and clinics nationwide. Her background includes work in coronary and intensive care units, adult and children's emergency rooms, birthing and dialysis centers. In addition, Jane has worked as an ER volunteer in the Caribbean. A Kaukauna native, Jane has developed pre- and post-operative education programs for cardiac patients and staff in Minneapolis, MN and Abilene, TX. Jane was chosen to be the Patient Advocate Representative to attend the National Patient Advocate Foundation event in Washington DC in June of 2007.  Where she met with state legislators to lobby for a number of specific health care issues.

Jane brings her life long passion of advocating for patients to this new arena.  Moving away from the bedside and confines of hospitals, she helps to decipher the medical jargon for you and your loved ones.  RNs To Go has the medical knowledge to know what targeted questions to ask about your health and treatment options.  We are also aware of how various diseases progress and many of the current treatments being used.  Thus we can ask about options and what lies ahead for you.  Helping you to avoid mistakes now that can affect your health and progress later on.

  • Get all your questions asked, answered-and understood- before you leave the office. We will also ask more targeted, BIG picture questions about your diagnosis and care-from a medical standpoint-should the need arise
  • Learn what options are available
  • Maximize the short time you have with the doctor
  • Receive a written summary of the entire appointment, to be used as a reference guide and to share with loved ones

At this time, RNs To Go offers this valuable service within Northeast Wisconsin (Appleton, Green Bay, Oshkosh, plus the counties of Calumet, Outagamie, Brown and Winnebago).

Our mission is to ensure every patient receives optimal medical care while making the most of any time spent in the office of any medical provider.  You can be a more savvy and knowledgeable consumer.  We want each patient to leave these appointments confident that any question he or she had has been asked, answered, and understood.  We also want to be certain that each patient goes home armed with a full comprehension of an agreed upon plan of care--follow up needs and wants, referrals, therapies, tests, medications, and whatever else may be involved--to treat and, we hope, improve his or her state of health.

One of our main goals is to end the thick cloud of confusion in the minds of so many patients--and their families--when it comes to their medical care.

A landmark Rand Health study in 2003 "shattered the widely held perception that health care quality is not a problem in the US.  In reality, the study found, that many people are not receiving appropriate care".  This frightening and stunning finding has not changed in the 3 years since that study was completed.  In fact, with all the latest changes in the delivery of our healthcare, this reality has only worsened.  RNs To Go wants to change that.  We  want to optimally enhance your medical care and ensure that you get the appropriate treatments you need.
